Hotel Review: Four Seasons Hong Kong

Four Seasons Hong Kong – A Review by Luxury Travel Publisher.

Our review ofFour Seasons Hong Kong: Set in a prime location on Hong Kong Island, with sensational views of, depending on the room type, either Hong Kong city’s bustling metropolis of high rises, or it’s idyllic harbor and skyline backdrop.

Being a Four Seasons property, you can rest fully assured that you are guaranteed the epitome of 5 star service through every detail, enquiry and interaction.

Four Seasons never fails to provide exemplary and class setting detail to it’s guests requests, both in a warm, hospitable yet professional manner.

Being a city hotel, they are usually associated as a business hotel. Do not underestimate however, Four Seasons Hong Kong also attracts a wealth of leisure guests and accompany them very well with its highly reputed spa and facilities, as well as an outdoor resort-style pool with great views across the harbor.

Room:

The room we bestowed upon was the Deluxe Harbour View. With a sprawling glass frontage overlooking the harbor and panoramic views of Tsim Sha Shui, the contrast between the water’s tranquility, and Hong Kong’s busy metropolis provides and stunning view whether it be day or night.

The King Bed comes with a choice of 4 mattress toppers depending on your personal preference. From plus to extra firm, they can accommodate a high quality sleep for any preference. Furthermore, there is a choice of 7 pillows, including a Cold Stone pillow. Soft yet filled with a layer of small stones, this pillow provides a cooling sensation and I’d highly recommend trying it.

Service:
Aside from the opulent luxury decoration and detail, high quality fixtures and furniture including a working desk and full size bathtub are just to mention a few. The turndown service, the small bedroom gifts and cheese board are also a great welcome accompaniment to any stay. Guests are also provided with a variety of L’Occitane amenities, as well as a face mask and iconic Four Seasons slippers.

Food & Beverage:
Firstly, breakfast has a choice of location. Whether it be Blue Bar for a grand choice of exceptional quality buffet, including freshly made pastries, selection of fresh fruits, Asian, and continental hot choices, as well as a large selection of cold pressed juices, and a myriad of other selections such as cold cuts, cheeses, egg selection, and other meats and delights.
The buffet is rightly said, one of the best breakfast selections I have encountered, and despite being a city hotel they are gracious by welcoming guests until 10:30am.

Aside from buffet, there is also a choice of a la carte at The Lounge. With a range of both Chinese and continental hot selections, you can also order many of the foods which are readily available at the buffet.

The a la carte menu hosts some great local selections including Dim Sum, rice and noodles dishes. I’d highly recommend trying the a la carte menu for a great start to your day.

It must be mentioned, that whilst we didn’t dine at Caprice, they are notably the first restaurant in Hong Kong that have been awarded with 3 Michelin stars, and they attract many guests from in our outside the hotel. If you’re a foodie, I’d definitely set your sights on this restaurant for a culinary journey accompanied by 3 Michelin stars!

Location:
Location is spot on. With direct connection to the IFC mall, getting to your favorite shops and restaurants is a breeze. Quite easily a 2 minute walk takes you to the center of IFC mall, which is a large modern shopping mall accommodating all tastes in fashion, food, technology, convenience amongst a few.

A short walk directly connects the MTR stations Central and Hong Kong, so getting around the city by MTR is no drama. Being completely connected, there is no problem getting to and from IFC or the MTR in all weather conditions.

Value for money:
Quite simply, a stay at Four Seasons is an investment into the ultimate of hotel experiences. Whilst there are many choices for the luxury travel market, Four Seasons must score 10/10 for value for money. Unmatched service, opulent luxury and attention to care and detail is testament to Four Season’s reputation as the industry leader in luxury travel.
