REVIEW OF THE CONRAD HONG KONG.
CONRAD HONG KONG, as you can expect comes with all the bells and whistles of it’s 5 star international counter parts.
It’s a large hotel, situated amongst the metropolis of Hong Kong’s downtown district. Right smack bang in the middle, Conrad Hong Kong proves to be the perfect location for those on business or leisure.
Conrad Hong Kong is connected to the Pacific Place – a large shopping complex. The lift will take you right down to Pacific Place from the lobby, and a short walk through the shopping centre will see you at the Hong Kong Metro within 5 minutes.
During our stay, we stayed in the King Bed Harbour View Room, and a what a harbour view it was! We were situated on a high-level floor with a great view of the sprawling metropolis.
The room itself is, although not the most modern, is of good quality furnishings, a soft-yet-supportive King bed, and decadent styling. Considering it’s 42.5 meters of floor space, the room was well designed to make most of the space afforded, with a work desk looking over the metropolis – not a bad view whilst reading the paper or checking your emails!
The bathroom was also decadently furnished in marble and comes with his & her’s sinks, and a full size bathtub too!
Conrad Hong Kong is a busy place, and is popular for both business and leisure tourists. Although the staff do an incredible job at maintaining the service level, one must bare in mind that this is a busy place, and we must be patient for services such as concierge etc. With that said however, the service that is delivered is as expected of 5 star standard and certainly worth complimenting.
Having elected for Executive Lounge access, the 59th floor lounge is certainly a place to enjoy your breakfast, afternoon tea of even canapés. Conrad Hong Kong Executive Lounge puts on a good affair of food and drinks, and it’s a nice place to pass the time!
If you get bored of the Executive Lounge at Conrad Hong Kong – which is highly unlikely, then the hotel also has a 24/7 gym/fitness centre, large outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool, steam room & sauna, massage centre and more!
Golden Leaf At Conrad Hong Kong
One thing that must be mentioned, whilst visiting Conrad Hong Kong is the Golden Leaf restaurant,
This is a 1 Michelin star restaurant and it does not disappoint. I wasn’t too familiar with traditional Cantonese cuisine, but it was a journey of culinary enlightenment that proved very satisfying indeed. Well worth a lunch if you’re in Hong Kong!
